We welcome winter!
The people of Taos Pueblo call it "the season in which the Earth rests". Plants, animals, humans slow down : rest : hibernate. Beginning on December 21st, the winter solstice, the sun rises at it's southern-most point for three days, on the fourth day it begins rising a little further north each day. Daylight lasts a little longer and we look forward to spring: the season of renewal.
This year has caused all of us great suffering, stress and fatigue. In many ways it has also reminded us of a simpler lifestyle. Time spent outdoors, time in the kitchen. The lonely people in our neighborhood are no longer strangers as we reach out to them. Non-technical folks can now ZOOM!
It has been a year of adapting and evolving.
May this restful winter season allow you time to reflect, to be grateful and to watch the rising sun on it's journey northward and allow us to be positive and hopeful as we see what is to come in 2021.
This truck is a '39 Chevy and was mi suegro's (my father-in-law's). Pictured here in the New Year's Eve storm of 2006-07 SURPRISE! It does snow here, not much, not often. Give us a call if you would like to own a print. Or give us a call anytime to talk about tour plans. 505-321-4864
